Website Development Tools

Wix.com

Wix is by far the easiest program to get started on when you are new to building a website. It is straight forward, easy to use, and educational. It gives you the tools to easily put your ideas forward. Wix offers:

  • Wide variety of colors

  • Fun apps

  • Different features

  • Lots of different background to pick from

Really, the options are endless for Wix. You could literally sit there for hours switching colors, backgrounds, fonts, buttons, apps, and pictures around and never get tired.

That could be one disadvantage to that site.  There are to many options. Sometimes when there are to many options there is the change your site will become to cluttered. Distracting your readers from the point you are wanting to get across.

HTML

HTML is difficult. You have to manually put in the codes to create everything. Back grounds, pictures, cool texts, everything. It is nice in the sense that you can control everything you put on your page. If you like decoding things this is the site for you, as sometimes somethings won’t work and you will have to figure out what is wrong. I enjoyed it because I was able to built something from scratch.

The down side, is that it is hard to figure out. It can get frustrating. If you want a really fancy web page, than in the beginning html probably isn’t the web developer for you.

Wordpress.com

For a more professional feeling WordPress is your site. It has different templates you can pick from, some of which are like a blog.

You can add users to your WordPress, creating a site that has more than one input. That’s helpful in the sense that you have people looking over what you’re doing, suggesting things. They can add their own things and edit posts from other users.

That’s help full if you have a large business.

The only thing I don’t like about the web site developer, is that it’s a little hard to use and set up at first. It’s a little confusing to find some of the widgets to edit.

Jooma

I don’t know much  about jooma right now. But when I do, I’ll add things to this description.
